FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions, answered plainly

What is BYOK?

+

Bring Your Own (LLM) Key. You connect your own Anthropic API account, and all inference runs through your billing and rate limits. We don’t proxy or mark up model usage.

Who qualifies for academic access?

+

PI-led academic labs at universities and research institutes. Apply via the contact form with your institutional email and a short description of the project.

What domains are live today?

+

CRISPRos is in beta. Twenty-six additional domains are in active development and shipping through 2026. See /architecture for the full catalog and current status per domain.

What happens after early access?

+

Pricing will remain free for qualifying academic labs through 2026. Production pricing for biotech and industry will be announced before the academic preview window sunsets.

Is Hordago open source?

+

The Open Source tier ships our core tools under Apache 2.0. biocontext7 is MIT-licensed. Managed services and domain-specific product code remain proprietary.

Which LLMs are supported?

+

Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 today, built on the Anthropic Agent SDK. We design around Anthropic’s model family rather than a multi-provider abstraction.
